singer, free spirit, dog mum. i am absolutely that person that has more pictures of my dog on my phone at any moment than of myself or others and she is just spoiled rotten. i'm quite sure this isn't an attractive quality to some but love me, love my dog.

i have no plans to return to acting anytime soon but i might change my mind if someone wanted to offer me a janis joplin or joni mitchell biopic? i know i don't sound like either but this is a dream role and that's my dream and no one can take that from me!

i never thought i had thick enough skin to be in this business. i think that was what made me gravitate towards cassie in skins and helped me get the role is because i was such an insecure person, and then once i began pursuing singing i realised i didn't sound much like anyone else out there and that was a whole new batch of insecurities. still, now i have a better sense of humour about it all, and i think i am quite sure of myself in a way that i don't believe i would be if i hadn't had to confront it all head-on to thicken my skin a bit.

one of my absolute all time favourite tunes is elton john's 'your song' and while of course i wish it was one of mine he did let me cover it and even called it "brilliant" which had me in the clouds for days. it's a bit vulnerable and sweet and romantic and i'd like to think all of those things fit me as well.

the look of concentration that falls upon a person's features when the rest of the world fades away. i don't care if it's reading a menu or watching a film, playing a video game or playing with pets, there is just something so intimate about it. male or female, scrunched noses and tongue hanging slightly out as they devote their whole being to one task is just absolutely irresistable. of course, that also means i have to wait until their are no longer preoccupied to make my move.
